My Experience as a KC Engaged Photographer

Earlier this month, I had the unique pleasure to be back at Three Points for one of the many vendor social events hosted by KC Engaged. KC Engaged – the local wedding show you know and love – hosts a "Wedding Guild Luncheon" every month where some of Kansas City's finest wedding vendors come together to show off their skills in a stylized shoot and then enjoy a workshop with a featured speaker. Ellen at KC Engaged is extremely dedicated to providing educational and technical experiences for vendors and it was such a privilege to be apart of her vision for September 2024. Elegance at Sky-Level

As a newly anointed KC Engaged photographer, walking into a stylized event at Three Points Wedding Venue felt like stepping into a modern-day fairytale. The rooftop venue, with sweeping views of the Kansas City skyline, offers a unique blend of urban charm and modern sophistication. It takes my breath away every time I walk out onto their balcony, and my photographer's eye explodes with creativity. This is easily one of the top three skyline venues I've visited in Kansas City. for my full list, see my post "Top 3 Kansas City Skyline Venues."

One of my favorite features of this venue is its stunning backdrop featuring the Hilton President Hotel. Its historical significance brings to the venue an essence of elegance that is unmatched by any other venue in Kansas City. As an added bonus, the lighting that bounces off the surrounding buildings gives an even, creamy glow at any hour of the day. These photos in this particular gallery were taken between 10:00am and 11:00am. Isn't our bride just RADIANT?!

An Ever-Lasting Impression

Photographing an event at Three Points is a dream for any photographer, but being asked to return again and again comes with an entirely different sense of reward. The combination of sleek architecture, breathtaking views, and carefully planned event details creates the perfect setting for stunning visuals. I will never get tired of sitting above the hustle and bustle of a vibrant city as the muffled sounds of the city below fade away as a love story unfolds in the clouds.
